Elegantly designed, maintained and well-appointed throughout, the home includes large entrance hall, dining room with large dining table where all children and staff dine together, living room equipped with large TV, sofas and music facilities. A conservatory with lots of toys, games and books. The breakfast kitchen provides a spacious communal area including a utility adjacent. One half of the double garage has been set up to provide accommodation to a second member of staff and office space. On the first floor there are four double bedrooms, including one staff sleep in room / office and three young people rooms, all children are supported to decorate this how they wish once they arrive. There is a separate family bathroom with a shower and bath. At the front of the house is a driveway providing off road parking for approx. three vehicles.
The home has access to separate Wi-Fi dedicated only for use by the children, this allows staff to set reasonable, age and risk-based limits for individual children per device, including the smart TV’s in their bedrooms, it also provides a sperate phone line for the young people to have access to. Some children will be allowed to keep pets in the home dependant on individual circumstances and staff do bring in their pets when appropriate, one member of staff’s dog is currently being trained as a therapy dog!
