REBECCA HOGBEN
Nurture Care Group
Registered Manager

Rebecca has over 15 years of experience working within the children’s residential sector, working with large leading providers such as SACCs and Cambian Group, for the past 6 years these have been in a residential management position. Rebecca has managed 2-5 bed Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and Specialised Sexual Trauma services. Also has vast experience of supporting learning difficulties, attachment disorders, ODD and risks of child sexual exploitation. Rebecca holds a degree in Therapeutic Parenting and level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management.

Rebecca holds a genuine passion for supporting children and young people who have experienced any form of trauma, believing that forming positive attachments along with therapeutic approaches and input holds the key for helping children and young people work through their negative experiences and views of the world around them. Ultimately, by providing love and nurture they can grow within a secure and safe environment to the young people they were always meant to be. She in-visions that Nurture Care Group will help lead the way within the sector to advocate positive change for looked after children nationwide.

ANDY PALMER

The Responsible Individual

Andrew’s work in residential children’s and Social Care spans 30 years and he has held managerial and leadership roles within this. Andrew has been a Registered Social Worker, held responsibility for commissioning, leadership as well as held roles as the Responsible Individual to Ofsted and Designated Safeguarding Leads. Andrew has also developed homes to help them achieve Outstanding ratings with Ofsted, developed his own children’s residential service and held Company Director roles.

In addition to his day to day working Andrew has also led expeditions to the Himalaya! Specifically, to Everest base camp & various trekking peaks for young people as well as Kilimanjaro on behalf of one local authority as an alternative from secure accommodation. This, led to Andrew later becoming a contributor to the expeditionary medicine degree programme. 

Andy is excited to join the company at a point of development and supporting the service to strive forward to achieve its goals and ethos, of supporting the young people and staff team with a high standard of therapeutic interventions and care.

LIZ GILLETT
Nurture Care Group
Clinical Lead / Registered Psychologist 

Liz has held clinical and management positions within the public, voluntary and independent sectors for over 25 years including being a senior clinician in NHS services for People with Learning Disabilities and Child and Family services across the Midlands.  She has also engaged in a wide range of training and consultancy activities with statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
Her clinical practice focuses on specialist assessments of children and families with complex presentations, whether due to multiple needs in the family group, co-existing difficulties and / or contexts such as child protection.  She also has a special interest and expertise in training, service development and consultation to teams and organisations offering assistance to vulnerable children and families.

Liz is a practising Expert Witness within the Family Court across England and Wales, but also offers her expertise to courts / services in British communities beyond the UK, including the Channel Islands and Falkland Islands. She has provided evidence to all levels of proceedings and has been involved at the strategic national level via her Ministerial appointment as the Child Mental Health specialist on the Family Justice Council, a non-statutory advisory, non- departmental public body sponsored by the Ministry of Justice (2008 to 2015).  She continues to regularly input into a number of national forums and to present at a range of Family Justice Board activities as well as providing training via the Judicial College.

She is a tutor on the University of Birmingham and Universities of Warwick and Coventry Doctoral programmes in Clinical Psychology providing workshops and placements to doctoral students.

Accredited bodies include, Registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), Chartered Clinical Psychologist (CPsychol) within the Clinical Psychology Division of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
